From one player to another: my design philosophy
Game pieces, not storage.
Most inserts disappear the moment the lid comes off. I start at the other end, with the components that go on the board. If a holder can sit on the table during play, I design it to belong there.
I want people to look at the pieces I make, pick them up and use them as if they were part of the game itself.
Of course if I make an organizer I still want it to be functional as well: no lid lift, friendly to vertical storage, and room for sleeved cards.
